I began using Class Dojo this last school year to track student behavior. I focus on positive behavior and celebrate when, as a class, we reach a minimum number of points to earn P.A.T, or preferred activity time. Class Dojo is very easy to use. It allows an option to communicate the student's progress with parents. Last year I had quite a few students who did not complete their homework. At the end of the year I was able to keep track of homework easily with Class Dojo and liked that parents could see how often their child turned in or missed homework. This year I would like to share with students all the positive choices their child makes while at school. I want to stay away from communicating only negative news. It is important to celebrate their responsible, respectful, and helpful behaviors as well. It is so easy to use and I will definitely use it to its fullest potential this year.
