Who will lead within an enterprise architecture plan?
There are many architectures within the enterprise which must communicate. A combined effort to meet the organization's goals is key. Overall, the goal is to create a resilient governance team which will easily adapt to challenges and changes. Although some roles within the governance architecture hold greater responsibility, each role is important. There are key players within a successful enterprise architecture that may have a greater influence overall, so I believe it is important to be strategic when choosing the leaders. The diagram shows the different roles within the organization. Green are primary roles, and the blue roles are considered support roles. In my opinion the architect holds the greatest responsibility. They serve to review, advise, document, as well as update the progress of the organization. Clearly, they must have communication will all other leaders. Using a design such as this will create designated roles and responsibilities which will in turn eliminate ambiguity of roles and promote transparency and efficiency.
